Assistant Sports Executive
(Causeway Bay)

 

The Baseball Association of Hong Kong, China (BAHKC) has been developing baseball activities to meet the sports policy in Hong Kong, namely to promote sports in the community, support elite sports and promote Hong Kong as a centre for major international sports events. BAHKC has been a subvented National Sports Association since 1993, recruiting an Assistant Sports Executive (ASE) to cope with its expansion.

 

Duties

  1. Report to the Board of Directors and direct supervisors;
  2. Organize local/overseas activities including but not limited to training, competition, fun day, and
    exchange programme; prepare regular reports, maintain proper filing, liaise with relevant government
    departments and organizations for the relevant matters;
  3. Provide secretarial support to the office-bearers and executives of the Association;
  4. Performing administrative tasks, conducting market research, updating databases, and writing content for the company social media site and web page;
  5. Attending regular meetings; 
  6. Perform ad-hoc administrative duties.

 

Qualification
 

  1. Grade E / Level 2 or above in 5 subjects including English (Syllabus B) and Chinese in the Hong Kong
    Certificate of Education Examination, or Level 2 or above in five subjects including English and
    Chinese in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination, or equivalent Remark:
    Grade C in English Language (Syllabus A) is recognized as equivalent to Grade E in English
    Language (Syllabus B);
  2. Obtained qualification not lower than the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) – Level
    II Book Keeping & Account; or equivalent to handle accounting matters is preferable;
  3. Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese; ability to communicate in Mandarin is desirable;
  4. Preference will be given to the candidate with working experience in the sports sector or NGOs;
  5. Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  6. To work proactively with any interest groups and government departments to help with various
    required tasks.

 

Remarks:
 

  1. This post is partially subvented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department at the rank of Administrative Assistant plus top-up allowance from the Association;
  2. The appointee shall be required to work on irregular hours or other locations if needed, i.e., he/she may be required to work on public holidays, outdoors or abroad;
  3. Immediate available will be preferred.
