The Department
Our Catering Department manages one of the largest and most diverse catering operations in Hong Kong. We provide a wide range of catering, sports and recreation facilities for Members and their guests in three Clubhouses. In addition, both Happy Valley and Sha Tin Racecourses have numerous catering facilities used by Members, non-members and corporate organisations for a variety of functions.
The Job
You will:
- Assist the manager in leading, supervising and motivating all full-time and part-time staff to ensure that business and customer service objectives and targets are achieved consistently.
- Manage and maintain all facilities to best-in-class standards to deliver excellent customer journey experience. Source, organise and supervise wellness, sports and recreation programmes that cater for Members’ interests.
- Build strong rapport with Members and handle complaints related to the Sports & Leisure team promptly in a professional manner.
- Conduct research and analysing statistics on programmes and facilities usage to make recommendations for continuous improvement and development.
- Ensure that the operation within his/her areas of responsibilities complies with the Club’s standards and SOP requirements and all staff are well trained and perform according to the latest SOP requirements and standards. Recommend for SOP changes if necessary.
- Implement preventive and remedial measures to safeguard the safety of Members and guests in accordance with Club’s guidelines.
- Assist the manager in managing the department's budgets and marketing plans to ensure revenue, cost and participation targets are met.
- Prepare the duty rosters for all recreation staff and highlight irregularities to supervisor.
- Lead the Club's official sports teams.
- Perform any other related duties as and when assigned by supervisor.
About You
You should have:
- A Degree in Recreation and Leisure Management or a related discipline
- A minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in the leisure or recreation fields
- Strong leadership, excellent interpersonal skills with initiatives to interact with customers and staff
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese.
- Hands-on experience of MS Office applications
Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
