Job Summary:
As an Assistant Manager, Community Engagement, you will be responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships between Ladies’ Recreation Club or the LRC Charitable Foundation and the communities we serve. You will work closely with community leaders, stakeholders and volunteers to develop and implement engagement strategies that align with the organisation’s mission and values. You will be responsible for planning community events and outreach programmes, co-ordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and acting as the primary point of contact between the Club and the community.
Responsibilities:
- Directly report to the Chair of the LRC Charitable Foundation and CSR & Community Engagement Convenor of the Club.
- Indirectly report to the Marketing Communications Manager and co-ordinate communications matters with the Communications Department.
- Provide secretarial and administrative support for the LRC Charitable Foundation.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with community leaders, stakeholders and volunteers.
- Co-ordinate, organise and execute community events, outreach programmes, and other initiatives to increase community involvement and support.
- Co-ordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the success of community engagement initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement initiatives and report on progress to senior management and convenors.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the Club and the community, responding to enquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as community development, communications, or public relations.
- NGO background would be an advantage.
- Proven experience in project management.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with community leaders and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of community development principles and practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for events.
- Able to work 2-3 days per week.
