The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) is responsible for the provision of desirable services for students of the University and enhancing their learning experience. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team dedicated to fostering whole-person development and a vibrant campus life of students.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative support in the selection process for the Student-Athlete Learning Support Admission Scheme, managing applications, selections, offers and orientation
Collaborate with academic units and other stakeholders to ensure the learning accommodation is effectively implemented and providing support for student-athletes from admission through to graduation
Assist in the publicity campaign for student-athletes
Assist in organising sports events and promoting physical wellness activities
Oversee the development of assigned sports teams
Serve as a representative of the University on relevant committees or task forces in the University Sports Federation of Hong Kong, China (USFHK) when necessary
Work outside normal office hours and on weekends, if necessary
Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
Requirements
A recognised bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Event Management or relevant disciplines
At least five years’ post-qualification work experience, preferably in tertiary institutions or similar organisations
A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
A strong sense of self-motivation, responsibility and teamwork relation
A strong mastery of interpersonal, multi-tasking and communication skills
A good knowledge and proficiency in the latest software applications relevant to the job
Candidates with less/more experience will be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits and mandatory provident fund. Appointment will be made on a contract basis for up to 5 months.
