
The Primary Sports Programme Manager will oversee CIS's sports programmes, as directed by the Director of Sports and Activities. This role includes managing daily operations, providing administrative support, coaching CIS sports teams, and attending games and tournaments throughout the school year.
Ensure consistency and quality in CIS Primary sports and determine any areas of improvement.
Create and develop a more significant link between Primary parents, CIS staff and coaches.
Work with the Sports and Activities team and teacher coaches to ensure that sports teams have adequate training facilities booked on and off-site and that all LCSD facilities are booked and paid for in a timely manner.
Oversee programmes that are coached by externally hired.
Ensure that all teams have adequate first aid supplies and regularly review the sporting equipment and inventory to ensure everything is in place.
Ensure all students have the correct uniforms and numbers, and that this information is accurately recorded in the appropriate sheet before they make their purchases from the Sports Uniform shop.
Attend games and be present at games and fixtures, whether that be during the week or on weekends.
Take ownership of SchoolsBuddy, ensuring that all students, parents, and staff, both internal and external, have access to and are up to date with the correct sporting information.
Manage the Primary Sporting Calendar and liaise with the appropriate people.
Manage bus bookings for all off-site Primary sporting events and training.
Ensure that team members are encouraged to be fair, play safe and show good sportsmanship.
Make sure that all students have sufficient playing opportunities when playing on our sports teams.
Coordinate and select teams and ensure compliance with programme policies, procedures, philosophies, and aims set out by the Director of Sports and Activities.
Work with the Sports and Activities team and user groups to schedule fixtures based on facility availability and off-site bookings.
Regularly updating the calendar and school systems with game times, event times, fixtures and results.
Make sure that external coaches complete their timesheets accurately and double-check the information to ensure they are paid on time.
Serve as the school’s liaison to Primary HKPSSA, PASS and HKSSF League.
Manage all aspects of the Primary HKSSF for our CIS students.
Responsible for the annual budgeting for the primary sports programmes.
This position will also undertake any other duties assigned by the Director of Sports and Activities.
Working hours: Mondays - Fridays 09:00 - 17:00. These times are subject to our fixtures as the expectation is that you will be with the teams beyond these working hours and on the weekends if there are fixtures and competitions.
Language: High proficiency in English is essential, and it would be beneficial but not a necessity to speak Chinese.
Start Date: 4 August 2026 (2-year contract)
