Job Description

The primary purpose of this role is to be a credible business partner to the HK leadership team in building and implementing effective people solutions to deliver business growth.


Job Duties

HR Business Partnering/Client Facing

  • Create and implement people strategies that are aligned with the business objectives and focused on creating a competitive advantage for Viatris by building a productive, agile and high performing workforce
  • Ensure strong partnerships with GM and functional leaders to enhance colleague experience
  • Be a trusted counsel to senior leaders in the market on people and organizational matters
  • Play an advisory role in supporting leaders to anchor key initiatives in the areas of culture building, and talent architecture.

Talent Acquisition

  • Lead the strategic thinking on designing a talent strategy with the aims of establishing a premium employer branding to attract high potential talents and strengthen the competitive advantages in talent market
  • Support full-life cycle recruitment needs for the business including direct sourcing techniques, consultative skills, and compensation, ensuring that every stage from the raising of the initial staff requisition to final appointment is carried out in accordance with global operating procedures and adhere to best practice principles
  • Conduct HR formality for new hires

HR Operational Excellence

  • Lead and implement talent strategies that focus on retaining high potential talents and developing a strong leadership pipeline for critical roles in the market
  • Ensure compliance with local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipate and mitigate potential risks; enforce adherence to requirements; ensure procedural fairness in employee relations matters and advise business leaders/managers on remediation actions when required
  • Communicate and execute HR policies and operational procedures
  • Administer the effectiveness of HR operations processes and identifies opportunities and solutions for improvements
  • Cooperate with company appointed auditors for annual company audit
  • Manage and coach people managers employment change processes including probation completion, visa expiry, contract renewals, merit and promotion

Compensation and Benefits

  • Work closely with GC C&B & Operation teams to provide aligned, consistent HR C&B strategy and align on organization people decisions in order to achieve business needs
  • Lead the year-end compensation cycle management process

 Talent Planning & Management

  • Coach and guide leaders to enhance their leadership capabilities and support them in creating winning teams
  • Partner with the Leadership team in implementing key change management strategies, including building future ready organizational designs and workforce optimization plans
  • Play an advisory role in supporting leaders to anchor key initiatives in the areas of culture building, and talent architecture
  • Work with leaders on the design and delivery of employee development plans with a focus on building skills and capabilities both for the present and the future

Qualifications, Training and Education

  • 8-10 years of HR Generalist experience
  • MBA or Master’s Degree in related subject area is preferred
  • Experience of working in a matrix environment is needed
  • Strong communication skills are an essential requirement
  • Coaching and collaboration skills
  • Influence, shaping solutions negotiation and partnership skills
